I am extremely delighted to mention that you are now with India’s only Deemed University of Physical Education, which is not only imparting degree courses at the under-graduate and post-graduate levels but also offers immense opportunity for research in the field of Physical Education and Sports leading to M.Phil and PhD degrees.

Lakshmibai National University of Physical Education, popularly known as LNUPE was established in the year 1957 at Gwalior, the historic city of India, which is about 300 kms from our national capital New Delhi. Gwalior is well connected by road, railway, and air services.

The aim of this organization is not only to provide world-class teachers in the field of Physical Education and Sports but also to produce world-class sportsmen, coaches and officials. Therefore, our focus is to create excellent professionals who have in themselves confidence, communication skill, and capability to stand-out among the equals, as also, commitment to their profession.

A large number of our students therefore get absorbed / selected in reputed organizations through campus selection. To achieve the above targets / aims, LNUPE provides sprawling lush green campus spread over more than 150 acres of prime land at the heart of Gwalior city which is less than a kilometer from Gwalior railway / bus stand.

The Institute not only provides infrastructural facilities for almost all games and sports that you can name but also have very experienced and qualified teachers to train and produce sports persons at the National and International levels to achieve the laid down mandate. All students and majority of faculty members have been housed inside the campus, which provides excellent environment to grow. It is equally heartening to mention our Alumni's can be spotted in almost all parts of the World excelling themselves in various fields, a result of five decades of hard work at the Institute.

We are in the process of re-orienting ourselves, which will take care of recent technological advancement and inter-disciplinary programmes, this will offer greater research opportunities in a big way to the prospective students.
